For the first
time in Pakistan, Ufone has launched another unique package plan that offers
true value of Postpay via offering latest top of the line smartphones on easy
interest free instalments. The package not only offers savings on voice plan but
also offers handsets at discounted rates.
Ufone in
partnership with Faysal Bank has launched this offer only for
Gold and
Platinum Credit Cards
customers of Faysal Bank. The instalment plan is first of its kind in Pakistan
that offers a 12 month term at Zero (0) cost to the customer. Credit Card
customers availing this offer will pay:
- 0% Mark-up
- 0% Down Payment
- 0% Processing Fee
- 0% Security Deposit
Currently three
devices will be offered under this promo namely Samsung S4, BlackBerry Q10 and
BlackBerry Z10. The promo is based on only 12 months instalment term for each
handset. A postpay voice plan is bundled into the monthly instalment price.
Users can also get a Rs 2000 Golden Category Special number on complimentary
basis on a new postpay connection in this
promo.
Operational
Mechanics:
Customers
wishing to avail this offer can contact Faysal Bank to participate in the offer.
Offer signup will only be made available through Faysal Bank. Customers cannot
avail this offer directly by visiting Ufone Service Centres. The promo is
currently being offered in only Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi/Islamabad,
Faisalabad and Multan. All Ufone existing and new customers who hold a valid
Faysal Bank Gold or Platinum Credit
Card can apply for this promo.
For new
connections, a list of special numbers Golden Category has been shared with
Faysal Bank. Users who opt for a new connection can choose a number of their
choice from the list. Existing users who also want to change MSISDN on same IMSI
can avail a Golden Category number. User upon contact with Faysal Bank will be
required to submit the following information which shall be forwarded to Ufone
along with Promo Offer Letter number.

Once customer
applies for promo via Faysal Bank and the bank approves the same, customer will
be sent two copies of Promo Offer Letter containing the above information.
Customer will bring both copies along with original CNIC and Credit Card to
participating Ufone service center branch for collection of handset and SIM
where required. All documentation as required will be filled out by the
customer. Following will be the order of transaction for handset/SIM collection.

Scenarios:
Existing
Ufone Users
Users using an
existing Ufone prepaid, postpaid or MNP users will be required to upgrade
product where required and upgrade to package: Postpay Smartphone Plan. Existing
users who have opted for a golden number can also acquire the golden number on
existing IMSI with number change activity.
New Ufone
Users:
Users who have
opted for a new number will be provided a golden number upon SIM purchase. SIM
shall be activated on Postpay Smartphone Plan. In case the customer want the new
SIM to be issued in any other individual’s name, the customer can do so however
the referral needs to be present along with the original customer at the service
center.
Special
Instructions for OMO Users:
OMO customers
who hold a valid Faysal Bank Gold or Platinum CC if require this promo can avail
the offer on their OMO number however will be required to MNP first before
placing an order. MNP requests for such customers will follow special
instructions while registering request on Ufone MNP helpline. Once such customer
calls MNP helpline he will clearly mention that he want to MNP his number for
participation in Faysal Bank – Ufone Postpay Smart
Plan. MNP helpline
staff will tag the subscriber and once MNP request has been successful and user
has ported on Ufone network, Ufone shall inform Faysal Bank of successful
activation. Faysal Bank will then confirm order from customer. If the user does
not follow special instructions for MNP process, Ufone will not be able to
intimate Faysal Bank and customer order will not be confirmed.
Financials & Costing:
There will be 12 monthly installments for each handset
i.e. BlackBerry Z10 will have monthly installment of Rs 6,300, BlackBerry Q10
will have monthly installment of Rs 6,700 and Samsung S4 will have monthly
installment of Rs 7,000. Installment split and total 12 month installment are
provided in below table. Golden Number worth Rs 2000 is also available on FOC
basis for new connections.

Postpay Smartphone Plan will have the following tariff:There is no further tax applicable on the fixed monthly installment. The monthly package plan line rent of Rs 1,579 (Taxes Inclusive) is included in the fixed monthly installment. After the expiry of 12 months, customer can continue to use the package plan by only paying the package line rent. The monthly device installment will cease after 12 months.
